My son and I take great joy in collecting maple seed pods and throwing them into the wind. Watching them twirl to the ground. Spending time outdoors with him is a simple and sweet pleasure. These earrings are made of sterling silver cast from those exact collected seed pods. The venation pattern on the pods has tons of detail enhanced by the application of patina. Carry a piece, or two of the Pacific Northwest with you. These measure 40 mm from bend of the ear wire to base of the seed pod. Made with love in my tiny studio tucked between the mountains.
